Salary Range: $70,000- $80,000 DOE

Position Summary
The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading Verdes Cannabis' marketing operations through data-driven decision making, project management excellence, and team leadership. This role oversees the planning, execution, measurement, and optimization of marketing initiatives across retail, wholesale, ecommerce, loyalty, digital, and brand channels.
Success in this role is measured by marketing effectiveness, campaign ROI, project execution, team performance, and the ability to translate business objectives into measurable results. This is not a creative content development position. The Marketing Manager serves as the operational leader of the marketing department, ensuring that resources, budgets, and initiatives are aligned to company growth objectives.
Core Responsibilities
Marketing Analytics & Performance Management
• Establish KPIs and success metrics for all marketing campaigns and initiatives.
• Build and maintain reporting dashboards tracking revenue impact, customer acquisition costs, customer lifetime value, retention, promotional effectiveness, website performance, and marketing ROI.
• Conduct post-campaign performance analysis and present actionable recommendations to executive leadership.
• Develop attribution models to identify the most effective marketing channels and investments.
• Analyze customer, sales, loyalty, and digital performance data to identify growth opportunities and operational improvements.
• Design and execute testing strategies, including A/B testing, to improve campaign effectiveness and customer conversion.
• Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports for leadership.
Marketing Project Management
• Manage the company's marketing project portfolio and annual marketing calendar.
• Lead retail promotions, wholesale initiatives, product launches, website enhancements, packaging updates, events, and innovation projects from planning through execution.
• Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocations, and success measures.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, delays, and resource constraints.
• Facilitate cross-functional coordination between Marketing, Retail, Wholesale, Operations, Compliance, Product Development, and Executive Leadership.
• Maintain project management systems, templates, workflows, and reporting standards.
• Ensure all marketing initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with company objectives.
Team Leadership & Development
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development for marketing team members.
• Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and accountability measures.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and development planning sessions.
• Manage workload distribution and resource allocation across the department.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and succession planning activities.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making.
Digital Marketing & Web Management
• Oversee SEO strategy, including technical, on-page, off-page, and local SEO initiatives.
• Manage website performance, CMS administration, hosting reliability, and user experience improvements.
• Monitor digital marketing performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Power BI, SEMrush, Moz, and Ahrefs.
• Identify opportunities to increase traffic, conversions, customer engagement, and revenue generation.
Budget & Strategic Planning
• Manage departmental budgets and monitor marketing expenditures.
• Evaluate vendor performance and marketing investment effectiveness.
• Support annual and quarterly marketing planning efforts.
• Recommend resource allocation strategies based on business priorities and campaign performance.
• Provide strategic recommendations that improve marketing efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
Key Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Analytics, Project Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive marketing experience.
• Minimum 2 years of direct people management experience.
• Demonstrated experience measuring campaign performance, marketing ROI, and customer acquisition metrics.
• Proven success managing complex marketing projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Advanced proficiency with Power BI, Google Analytics, and marketing reporting tools.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and departmental resources.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Experience with CRM, loyalty, and marketing automation platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in cannabis, consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail, wellness, or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with Dutchie, HubSpot, or similar customer engagement platforms.
Physical and Emotional Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, 8 - 10 hours multiple days in a row
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a confined area.
  • Must be able to bend/stoop/climb/reach
  • Must be able to present complex information to groups of people
  • Must be able to be physically present in the wholesale locations and administrative office
  • Ability to handle high stress situations, ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Must be able to tolerate a reasonable amount of work stress

Compensation
• $70,000-$80,000 annually DOE
