Summary                 

Ready to take the next step in your career?  Associated Grocers is the company for you! We're currently seeking a Sales & Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you'll provide essential administrative and project support to Department Directors, Category Managers, and Retail Field Teams - playing a key role in ensuring smooth and effective operations across the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Provide continuous administrative support to the various departments in the Sales and Marketing Division, including the Department Directors, the Category Managers and Field Teams.
  2. Enter data and maintain records for deal sheets and cost changes.
  3. Create and adjust surveys include using creativity to promote deals, special events and/or promotions to vendors and member retailers.
  4. Contact vendors and member retailers as needed in regards product availability, items ordered, or moving items.. (Including selling sheets).
  5. Assist the Category Managers by entering promo buys for ads and special promotions.
  6. Enter, modify, and research booked orders from member retailers and vendors.
  7. Prepare for period end by completing all department transfers and billbacks.
  8. Research – deals and billbacks.
  9. Insufficient product notification to retail including availability of product.
  10. Cross train to gain the knowledge within department.
  11. Create credits or charges to member retailers and vendors maintaining records of all.
  12. Provide daily reporting and run analytic reports as needed.
  13. Assist with maintenance of data integrity.
  14. Phone coverage when Category Manager is out.
  15. Perform other related tasks as required.

Education and/or Experience                   

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills                   

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be technologically proficient in order to master proprietary software necessary for job functions.  Individual should be proficient in Excel spreadsheet software, Word word-processing software, and Adobe Acrobat.  

Other Skills and Abilities       

  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills. 
  • Proficient in 10-key data entry skills. 
  • Flexible and adaptable to fast-paced changes. 
  • Ability to type 50 words per minute. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks. 
  • Operate harmoniously and cooperatively with others within and outside of department. Must promote a positive work environment.
