Our client is seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to spearhead growth efforts throughout the Bend, OR market. This is a project-focused sales role that plays a critical part in the organization's expansion strategy — building lasting relationships with key industry stakeholders and securing new commercial mechanical construction opportunities from concept through contract award.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with owners, design firms, engineers, and general contractors to generate new project opportunities.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue commercial mechanical construction projects from concept through contract award.
  • Lead business development efforts, including strategic prospecting, project positioning, and opportunity planning.
  • Coordinate proposal development, RFP/RFQ responses, bid strategy, and go/no-go decisions with internal teams.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and contracts while collaborating with estimating, operations, and executive leadership.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and customer meetings.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and CRM while achieving revenue and profitability goals.
  • Support project handoff and maintain customer relationships throughout the construction process.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction sales, project management, estimating, or business development.
  • Working knowledge of commercial HVAC, plumbing, piping, or mechanical systems.
  • Experience working with design-build or plan-and-spec projects.
  • Established relationships within the commercial construction market are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
