Project Manager , Market Data

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid), Local Candidates only

Duration: 6 Months +

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to anchor and drive the delivery of our MDS Operating Model Reset initiative. This role will be pivotal in facilitating a series of workshops, ensuring follow-through on actions, and supporting the transformation towards a simpler, more automated, and future-ready Market Data Services (MDS) function.

Key Responsibilities:

Workshop Facilitation & Anchoring

  • Plan, organize, and facilitate a series of full-day workshops for Demand, Inventory, and Invoicing teams
  • Ensure workshops are outcome-driven, inclusive, and focused on identifying pain points, process simplification, and automation opportunities.
  • Capture key discussion points, decisions, and action items, ensuring clarity and accountability.

Project Management & Delivery Tracking

  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan and action tracker for the 4 6 month delivery period.
  • Monitor progress against milestones, proactively flag risks or delays, and ensure timely completion of agreed actions.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders on progress, challenges, and next steps.

Process Simplification & Automation

  • Challenge existing processes and assumptions, encouraging teams to simplify before automating.
  • Identify and document opportunities for process improvement, risk reduction, and efficiency gains.
  • Support teams in designing and implementing streamlined workflows and controls.

SPO Drafting & Documentation

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to draft and refine new Standard Process Operating procedures (SPOs) that reflect simplified, future-ready processes.
  • Ensure documentation is clear, actionable, and aligned with regulatory and operational requirements.

Change Management & Team Enablement

  • Act as a change agent, helping teams navigate the transition from current to future state.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement.
  • Support communication and alignment across all involved teams.

Key Skills & Experience

    • Proven experience in project/program management, ideally within operations
    • Strong facilitation and workshop leadership skills, with the ability to drive engagement and consensus.
    • Demonstrated track record in process simplification, automation, and operational transformation.
    • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
    • Experience drafting process documentation and standard operating procedures.
    • Analytical mindset, with attention to detail and a focus on outcomes.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse teams.
