The Hershey’s Merchandising Associate, is responsible for providing a memorable customer experience through visual merchandising within a high-energy retail location. You will be responsible for supporting the sales floor by updating, restocking, and maintaining visual displays and signage. As Hershey’s Merchandising Associate, you will bring the brand and products to life, promoting a heightened level of experience for our customers, while maintaining brand standards set forth by The Hershey Company. Join us as a “Hershey’s Hero, a Smile Creator, and Memory Marker.”

This position creates a positive experience that reflects the fun brand image of Hershey’s products through visual merchandising and an eye for detail. As Hershey’s Merchandising Associate, it will be part of your job to be a merchandising role model for your follow associates holding yourself and others to a higher standard demonstrating the joy the HERSHEY’S CHOCOLATE WORLD brings to your customers. This is for HERSHEY’S CHOCOLATE WORLD – Times Square.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain store standards that support the visual presence direction enhancing the customer experience
  • Recover and replenish the store as needed
  • Execute floor sets and changeovers based on preset planograms and visual communication
  • Ensure proper signage is displayed and reflects the current in-store promotions and events
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience when on the sales floor, by always communicating information in a manner that is friendly, fun, and consistent with brand standards
  • Drive customer satisfaction, communicating information in a manner that is friendly, fun. Make suggestions and recommendations regarding The HERSHEY’S CHOCOLATE WORLD products and café services
  • Create customer awareness of in-store promotions, and personalized products and services
  • Attending or completing requested training, shift staff meetings and conference calls
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by consistently treating all customers, guests, and employees with respect
  • Appreciation for The Hershey Company’s unique partnership, which includes entrepreneurial attitude, history, and passion for its products
  • Maintain a professional personnel appearance complying uniform expectations

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Requires the ability to move around the store, assist customers and maneuver merchandise when necessary

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required
  • Minimum 1 year retail/food service/hospitality experience
  • Previous flagship and/or high-volume retail or merchandising experience preferred
  • Must be able to work a fully flexible retail schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require nights, weekends, and holidays

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, standing, and moving items
