Nashville Riverboats delivers unforgettable sightseeing cruises, dining experiences, weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations. We blend Southern hospitality, live entertainment, and scenic river cruising into one-of-a-kind experiences.


What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and cook menu items to recipe standards for lunch cruises, dinner cruises, weddings, and special events
  • Set up, stock, maintain, and break down assigned kitchen stations
  • Prepare ingredients including vegetables, sauces, stocks, and desserts
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with health department and maritime standards
  • Follow FIFO, proper labeling, dating, and safe food-handling procedures
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, surfaces, and storage areas
  • Communicate with kitchen leadership and service teams to ensure timely, accurate meal delivery
  • Receive and store deliveries; monitor inventory and report shortages
  • Support vessel operations and partner with other departments as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by culinary leadership

What You Bring

  • 2-3 years of cooking experience in high-volume restaurants, catering, or banquet environments
  • Strong working knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, space-constrained galley conditions
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, professional mindset
  • Comfortable working aboard vessels in tight spaces and dynamic environments
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes, procedures, and safety expectations
  • Prior banquet or event-based cooking experience strongly preferred
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as needed
  • Ability to work onboard for 2–5 hour cruises; occasional extended shifts up to 12 hours
