The Wilderness Resort is seeking a hardworking, dependable, enthusiastic, customer service driven individuals to join our fast paced team! Employees have access to great benefits, amenity usage, and so much more!
The Field's at the Wilderness Server is responsible for taking guest food and beverage orders and entering if all orders into computer for transmittal to kitchen staff.
This is a part or full time position with night and weekend availability.
Essential duties and tasks of the position include but are not limited;
  • Greet guest and introduce self.
  • Present menus and answer questions about menu items, buffet items, making recommendations upon request.
  • Inform customers of daily specials.
  • Check guest's identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
  • Take orders from for food or beverages. Write guest's food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.
  • Serve food or beverages and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required.
  • Do side work and prepare areas for next shift.
  • Check with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
  • Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters and take them to kitchen for cleaning.
  • Prepare checks that itemize and total all costs and collect payments from guest.
  • Attempt to limit problems and liability related to excessive drinking by advising a manager of any potential concerns or issues.
  • Perform duties of a busser as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, well-stocked and presentable work environment.
