As a Dog Training Instructor, you'll play a vital role in transforming lives by teaching dogs and their people the skills they need to succeed. Whether you're an experienced instructor or someone eager to grow your dog training expertise, we welcome individuals who are enthusiastic about learning, teaching, and making a difference.
What You'll Do
โ€ข Teach engaging group dog training classes using positive reinforcement methods
โ€ข Conduct private training sessions and develop customized training plans
โ€ข Help clients build stronger relationships with their dogs through effective training and guidance
โ€ข Work alongside and mentor Dog Training Assistant volunteers
โ€ข Collaborate with fellow instructors to develop curriculum and enhance training programs
โ€ข Deliver exceptional customer service while promoting Marin Humane's mission and values
What We're Looking For
โ€ข Experience teaching or assisting with dog training classes, or a strong foundation in positive reinforcement training and a desire to learn
โ€ข Comfortable speaking in front of groups and coaching people of varying skill levels
โ€ข Strong communication and customer service skills
โ€ข Ability to work with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperament
โ€ข Flexible, patient, and able to think on your feet
โ€ข Passion for humane training methods and lifelong learning
