Position Summary:
The Senior ICT Test Engineer serves as a key technical leader responsible for defining and executing test strategy, design, development, and continuous improvement efforts focused on In-Circuit Test (ICT) systems within the manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all electronic sub-assemblies meet stringent quality, reliability, and customer requirements through the deployment of robust ICT equipment, processes, and methodologies.
The Senior ICT Test Engineer will also play a critical part in mentoring junior engineers, driving cross-functional collaboration with design, NPI, and manufacturing teams, and providing advanced expertise in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and test optimization. This position is essential for maintaining high manufacturing yields, improving test coverage, and supporting ongoing product and process excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
Test Development & Implementation
  • Design, develop, and validate automated In-Circuit test systems for electronic assemblies and finished products.
  • Create test procedures, test fixtures, and software to support production requirements.
  • Implement Design for Test (DFT) strategies in collaboration with product development teams.
  • Ensure Test coverage requirements align with design specifications and customer expectations

Manufacturing Support
  • Provide technical leadership in solving complex test and product-related issues on the production floor.
  • Analyze test data, identify failure trends, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure test equipment uptime and compliance with calibration and maintenance schedules.

Continuous Improvement
  • Responsible for the First Pass Yield metric for ICT machines.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize test efficiency, reduce cycle times, and improve test coverage.
  • Drive automation, standardization, and digitalization of test processes.
  • Evaluate and implement new test technologies to enhance manufacturing capability.

Leadership & Mentoring:
  • Act as a technical mentor to junior test engineers and technicians.
  • Provide guidance on troubleshooting methodologies, best practices, and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and operations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in ICT test engineering within an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency with ICT platforms such as Keysight 3070, Teradyne TestStation, or equivalent systems.
  • Experience 6+ years in electronic testing within a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrates participative management in problem solving.
  • Ability to analyze test data and drive root-cause/failure analysis.
  • Possess strong time management skills to simultaneously manage multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Programming languages: Python, .NET, C# LabVIEW.
  • Experience in Electronic circuit design and circuit debugging.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience; Green Belt or Black Belt certification a plus.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-2221).
  • Prior engineering experience in automotive / manufacturing environment. Strong computer skills. Ability to manage projects in a team environment.
  • Possess strong initiative to complete project tasks on-time and in-budget.
  • Possess strong communication skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams.
