What We're Looking For:

The Manager, Manufacturing manages the activities of the Supplies Manufacturing operation with responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing. Receives assignment in the form of objectives and determines best use resources to meet schedules and goals. Provide guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies. Develops procedures and processes to achieve goals. Supports continuous improvement of productivity and efficiency as it pertains to the manufacture labels and tags.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide the tools and resources to ensure the team is meeting cost standards, and review expense to ensure alignment with the cost center budget. Recommends items and amounts for inclusion in the budget. Controls expenses.
  • Work with supervisors/shift leads to set productivity expectations and provide the benchmark for standards in both work processes and production. Ensure the team achieves productivity targets and deadlines, where employees are not meeting the expectations, there is a responsibility to address poor performance, so employees can change.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) methodologies to reduce cost on jobs.
  • Ensure all KPI data is collected and meeting expected performance standards, accountability for reporting metrics/KPI's to next level of management.
  • Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to promote a safe working environment and hold people accountable to follow the programs set forth by management. Make recommendations for program changes or additional safety programs.
  • Work with leadership to provide the atmosphere for people to exceed in their positions and provide a path for growth and development for staff.
  • Provides leadership and framework to ensure there is a consistent measure of performance by supervisors/shift leads in different areas and/or shifts.
  • Work with the quality staff to help guide employees through the quality expectations which are set by our customers. Interpret the nuances of acceptable from unacceptable with the assistance of peers.
  • Develops department objectives, monitors and supports team to achieve expected performance results against objectives.
  • Full knowledge of job-related policies and procedures as well as corporate policies and procedures that may impact role functioning, particularly regarding Human Resources.
  • Responsible for hiring, performance ratings, merit and/or promotional increases, resolving grievances or complaints.
  • Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.
  • Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees.
  • Represents the department on project teams and may perform in project leadership role on projects of significant scope and impact.
  • Acts as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
  • Works on complex issues and develops resolutions where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors and/or frequent use of creativity.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
  • Work Experience: 5+ years, including at least 3 years as a supervisor

Pay Range:

$96,800.00 - $145,200.00 Annual

Incentive Compensation:

In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 10% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
