Job description

Manufacturing Safety Coordinator
Location: Miamisburg, OH (On-site)
Shift: 2nd - 2pm-10pm

Your Impact
As Manufacturing EHS Coordinator, you will help protect our people, facilities, and environment by ensuring strong safety practices and regulatory compliance across our manufacturing operations. Your work will directly support safe production, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Apply and interpret OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and EPA regulations within daily manufacturing operations
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, risk assessments, and environmental audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and tracked
  • Support incident, injury, and near miss investigations, including root cause analysis and follow up
  • Maintain OSHA 300 logs and assist with regulatory reporting requirements
  • Support environmental compliance including waste management, permit tracking, hazardous materials handling, and emissions monitoring
  • Assist in administering safety programs such as Hazard Communication, Lockout Tagout, Machine Guarding, Forklift Certification, Fall Protection, and Confined Space
  • Deliver safety training, new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and refresher sessions
  • Monitor PPE compliance and safe operating procedures across production and warehouse areas
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation including training records, SDS files, inspection reports, and corrective action logs
  • Track and communicate EHS KPIs to plant leadership
  • Support emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response coordination
  • Serve as a visible safety partner on the production floor, collaborating with supervisors, maintenance, and operations teams
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • This role requires reading, writing, and understanding work instructions, safety information, and training materials in English
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety or related field
  • OSHA 30 General Industry certification required
  • OSHA 511 preferred
  • Associate degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, or related field preferred
  • Working knowledge of general industry OSHA standards
  • Experience supporting industrial hygiene initiatives such as noise monitoring and air sampling preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management systems
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage regulatory documentation
  • Effective communication skills and ability to influence safe behaviors across all levels of the organization

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Employees must be able to talk, hear, and frequently stand and walk production lines for extended periods. Occasional sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling may be required. Regular lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting up to 40 lbs is required. Vision requirements include close and color vision and focus adjustment. Work is performed within an active manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, forklifts, airborne particles, temperature fluctuations, chemicals, and electrical hazards. Noise levels may be very loud and require ear protection.
