BDS Manufacturing & Safety Executive Assistant - Chief of Staff

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for Senior Manufacturing & Safety Executive Assistant Manager (Level M) to serve as Chief of Staff and support all BDS Programs in Berkeley, MO, Mesa, AZ, Philadelphia, PA, Seattle, WA, San Antonio, TX, Huntsville, AL or Titusville, FL.

This role will report directly to the Vice President of Manufacturing and Safety and be responsible for the development and management of the overall management system and organization initiatives in BDS Manufacturing & Safety as a critical enabler of the business.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support and partner with theVP of BDS Manufacturing & Safetyby translating strategic organizational priorities into actionable plans, disciplined reporting, and coordinated execution across Manufacturing & Safety
  • Develop and lead theManufacturing & Safety operating rhythm, including recurring executive deliverables, readiness assessments, leadership meeting support, and strategic planning activities
  • Ensure objectives are met by scheduling, de-conflicting, and prioritizing key tasks; proactively communicate leadership direction, guidance, and expectations to internal and external audiences
  • Coordinate executive-level and LT staff meeting support and participation in BDS and enterprise leadership forums, including consolidation of executive-level briefings and consistent messaging
  • Plan and execute site engagements and leadership visits as required, including preparation of materials, logistics, and executive-ready summaries
  • Review and evaluate strategic organizational focus and priorities; identify optimization opportunities and assist in implementation to improve execution and performance
  • Monitor and track project execution of Manufacturing & Safety related plans; communicate status, risks/issues, and recommended actions to leadership
  • Establish and sustain cross-functional and enterprise relationships to remove obstacles, solve problems, and drive alignment across BDS and other Boeing business units
  • Lead special projects and ad hoc executive initiatives supporting Manufacturing & Safety priorities
  • Lead by example throughSeek, Speak & Listento reinforce an inclusive, high-performance culture
  • Travel as required to support leadership engagements and site activities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 10+ years of experience leading projects that crossed multiple functions, organizations or systems where competing priorities or objectives may have become a challenge
  • Experience with time management, communication, technical writing, presentation development, facilitation and organizational skills
  • 5+ years of experience communicating effectively with multiple levels of an organization
  • 5+ years of experience collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources, as well as interpreting data and presenting analysis and recommendations to management
  • 5+ years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions or initiatives
  • 5+ years of experience using critical business and financial acumen in order to influence and shape strategy
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Functional experience in one or more areas:manufacturing, safety, project/program management, or business operations
  • Experience withEarned Value Management (EVM)or similar methods for performance oversight and metrics
  • Experience collaborating with multiple programs/organizations
  • Experience leading key process, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives

Philadelphia, PA and Seattle, WA: $183,600 - $248,400
