Job description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with quality standards, managing the Quality team, and partnering with cross-functional departments to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), including documentation, internal audits, and audit readiness.
  • Manage the Quality department and provide leadership, coaching, and development to quality personnel.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Develop and implement quality procedures, process controls, inspection methods, and testing requirements.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor quality metrics, analyze trends, and recommend process improvements.
  • Support new product development and manufacturing by representing Quality during engineering projects.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure product compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations.
  • Train employees on quality systems, procedures, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation and reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of Quality Assurance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience implementing and managing Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Knowledge of AS9100D, ISO 9001, or similar quality standards.
  • Experience with internal audits, corrective actions, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis, 8D, 5 Whys, FMEA, and SPC.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/QMS software.
  • Ability to work with ITAR-controlled information, when applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AS9100D Internal Auditor experience.
  • ISO 9001 or other Quality certification (CQE, CQA, or equivalent).
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
