POSITION: Production Supervisor
WORK LOCATION: Stone Mountain, GA
POSITION REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
Please note: this position will be on nights (rotation shift schedule 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the production operations of the shift, supervising hourly team members, providing hands-on guidance and support to the team. Works closely with other shift Production Supervisors and Operations Manager to promote safety, core values, GMP, customer product specification, quality and line production standards, performance, and training.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Directly supervises production hourly team that includes production, print and packing leads, forklift driver and shift mechanic.
  • Indirectly manages a workforce of approximately 25 to 35 hourly employees engaged in the manufacturing of foam cups, containers and / or straws.
  • Complete quality, efficiency and production reports daily.
  • Responsible for safely achieving established production schedules and efficiencies while monitoring equipment, processes and operating techniques on a continuous basis to assure quality standards are met.
  • Coordinates with the maintenance department to maintain equipment and utilities in proper working condition and monitors to assure equipment is utilized in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensures maximum use of raw materials while minimizing scrap levels to attain company standards.
  • Provides accurate records of production, employee absenteeism, accidents, wage increases, vacations and overtime. Responsible for data input into computer programs/systems as required for records.
  • Communicates and enforces company work rules and policies.
  • Enforces plant safety rules, housekeeping standards and employee work practices in accordance with company policies and OSHA/FDA regulations.
  • Follow all GMP and sanitation guidelines.
  • Performs annual performance evaluations of direct reports and shift employees.
  • Responsible for controlling and monitoring attendance and punctuality of the entire shift.
  • Supports all current and new product demands.
  • Maintains housekeeping standards by keeping a clean work area at all times.
  • Performs performance evaluations of direct reports.
  • Works with all other departmental areas to maintain safety, quality, and plant initiatives.
  • Partners with leadership to ensure team collaboration including training methods that leads plant productivity.
  • Follows WinCup Values, follows company procedures, GMP, and other related safety standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by WinCup leadership as needed.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, business, or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Experience in diverse manufacturing-production functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and system data reporting applications.
  • Ability to be flexible in working other shifts when necessary.

  • Will be required to frequently move/transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds which may require frequent bending, twisting and reaching motions.
  • Team Member may be required to remain stationary for extended periods of time.
  • Team Member may be required to stand for long periods up to 8, 10 or 12 hours shifts.
  • Team Member may be required to talk, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle and feel objects, tools, and controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch.

WORK ENVIRONMENT (Manufacturing Plant):
The characteristics listed below are representative of the work environment typically encountered by an individual while performing the essential duties of a position in our manufacturing plants. Note that office positions located within our Manufacturing Plants often require some plant floor presence throughout the day so these work environment details may not always apply, they should still be noted.
  • Work space is one that contains moving mechanical parts.
  • Requires work in an indoor manufacturing environment that may be exposed to extreme heat that is not air conditioned.
  • Work environment contains loud noises and odors that may last for long periods of time or on a continual basis as well as occasional airborne particles.
  • Must wear PPE while working, which includes hairnet, hearing protection and safety glasses with side guards at all times.
  • Ability to work an 8+, 10+ or 12+ hour shifts as designated.
  • Able to work weekdays, weekends and overtime as designated.
