Summary: 

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with production schedules and business objectives

  • Manage end-to-end supply chain activities, including:

    • Procurement

    • Inventory planning

    • Logistics

    • Warehousing

    • Supplier management

  • Monitor material availability to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations

  • Coordinate demand forecasting and production planning with manufacturing and engineering teams

  • Optimize inventory levels while minimizing shortages and excess stock

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage qualified suppliers and subcontractors

  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, delivery schedules, and service agreements

  • Monitor supplier performance metrics, including:

    • Quality

    • On-time delivery

    • Responsiveness

  • Conduct supplier audits and ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements

  • Develop contingency sourcing plans to reduce supply chain risk

  • Ensure compliance with manufacturing regulations, export controls, and material traceability requirements

  • Support quality assurance initiatives and corrective action processes related to supplier issues

  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and material traceability records

  • Partner with quality teams to resolve non-conformances and supplier corrective actions

  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations

  • Coordinate transportation, shipping documentation, customs paperwork, and international shipments as applicable

  • Identify and optimize reliable, cost-effective shipping methods

  • Implement inventory management systems and support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Analyze supply chain performance data and prepare operational reports

  • Lead and mentor supply chain, purchasing, and logistics personnel

  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Collaborate with finance to manage budgets and reduce operational costs

  • Support process optimization and digital transformation initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field

  • 5–10 years of supply chain or procurement management experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment

  • Experience with strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, inventory optimization, demand forecasting, regulatory compliance, ERP/MRP systems, risk management, Lean Manufacturing, cost reduction strategies, and cross-functional leadership

  • Strong understanding of industry standards, quality systems, and supplier compliance requirements

  • Knowledge of inventory planning, forecasting, and logistics operations

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication abilities

  • Must qualify as a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with defense contracts and government procurement regulations

  • Knowledge of international shipping and export compliance (ITAR/EAR)
