About Palmetto Plastics Innovations

Palmetto Plastics Innovations is a growing manufacturing company producing high-performance plastic components for industrial applications, including cooling tower systems. Our facility includes extrusion, thermoforming, CNC machining, and fabrication processes. We are building a modern manufacturing operation focused on efficiency, quality, and innovation.

Position Overview

Palmetto Plastics Innovations is seeking a Manufacturing Planning & Operations Manager to oversee production scheduling, materials coordination, purchasing, and workflow management across our manufacturing operation.

This role is responsible for keeping the factory organized and on schedule by coordinating production priorities, managing purchasing activities, and ensuring materials and resources are available when needed.

Our ERP system (MYSIS) provides visibility into materials, inventory, and production capacity. The role requires someone who can use the system to plan, organize, and manage operations effectively.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, computer-literate, and capable of managing multiple moving parts in a busy manufacturing environment.

Experience with MYSIS ERP software is a significant advantage but not required.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain production schedules using the ERP system

  • Coordinate production priorities with operations and management

  • Monitor job progress and adjust schedules when necessary

  • Ensure materials, labor, and equipment are aligned with production timelines

Purchasing & Materials Coordination

  • Manage purchasing of raw materials and components required for production

  • Coordinate with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and deliveries

  • Track purchase orders and ensure materials arrive on time

  • Work with inventory data to maintain appropriate stock levels

Operations Coordination

  • Act as a central point of coordination between production, purchasing, and management

  • Track manufacturing timelines and ensure production goals are met

  • Identify scheduling or supply chain issues before they impact production

  • Help maintain organized workflow within the manufacturing operation

ERP & Data Management

  • Utilize ERP software (MYSIS) to manage production orders, purchasing, and inventory

  • Maintain accurate data within the ERP system

  • Analyze production and purchasing data to support operational decisions

Qualifications

  • Experience in project management, operations coordination, production planning, or supply chain roles

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Comfortable working with ERP systems and production software

  • Strong analytical and computer skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in manufacturing or industrial operations

  • ERP experience (MYSIS a strong plus)
