Position Overview

The Manufacturing Manager will oversee all aspects of day-to-day production operations. This role requires a balance of strategic planning and floor-level leadership. You will manage the production schedule, allocate resources, enforce safety and quality standards, and implement lean manufacturing strategies to maximize efficiency and output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Management: Direct and coordinate the daily manufacturing operations, ensuring that all production schedules and delivery goals are met across all departments.

  • Quality & Safety: Enforce stringent health, safety, and quality control standards on the shop floor. Proactively identify and resolve issues or delays in production.

  • Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement, 5S methodologies, and Lean manufacturing concepts to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Team Leadership: Manage, train, and mentor production personnel. Foster a positive work environment through clear communication, performance evaluations, and active coaching.

  • Resource Allocation: Manage staffing schedules to ensure proper coverage and allocate resources effectively. Oversee equipment maintenance and facility uptime.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive management experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a strong background in a related field.

  • Technical Acumen: Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in production environments. Familiarity with CNC machinery, welding, waterjets, lasers, and press brakes is highly desired.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and engage a technical workforce in a fast-paced setting. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and conflict-resolution abilities.

  • Continuous Improvement: Deep understanding of Lean manufacturing, 5S, and root cause analysis.
