With strategically located production facilities, we are well positioned to support our customers throughout North America and beyond.**Harlingen, Texas Facility:** The Harlingen, TX location is a state-of-the-art aluminum extrusion facility specializing in:* Aluminum extrusion manufacturing* High-speed tube drawing* Heat treating* Level-wound coil productionThis facility plays a key role in delivering precision-engineered aluminum products while maintaining Penn Aluminum's commitment to quality, innovation, and customer service.**What You’ll Do**The Manufacturing Maintenance Manager leads the plant maintenance function to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of production and facility equipment. This role owns preventive and predictive maintenance programs, drives continuous improvement in equipment reliability, manages maintenance labor and contractors, and partners with Production, Engineering, Quality, and EHS to reduce downtime and support business goals.* Champion a safety-first culture; ensure compliance with all EHS requirements, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, hot work, confined space, and electrical safety.* Plan, organize, and direct daily maintenance activities for production assets and facilities, including corrective repairs and emergency response.* Develop, implement, and sustain preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce unplanned downtime and extend asset life.* Own equipment reliability performance and drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action to eliminate repeat failures.* Partner with Operations to optimize line uptime, changeovers, and planned downtime; coordinate weekly and outage schedules.* Manage the maintenance work management process using the site CMMS (work requests, planning, scheduling, execution, closeout, and history).* Lead shutdown/outage planning and execution, including scope definition, risk review, resource loading, and post-outage lessons learned.* Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance personnel; set expectations, conduct performance reviews, and support training and certification.* Coordinate contractors and vendors (selection, scope, safety orientation, quality of work, and cost control); ensure adherence to site policies.* Manage maintenance budget, overtime, and spend; track and report key metrics and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising safety or reliability.* Oversee MRO/spare parts strategy (critical spares, min/max levels, obsolescence, kitting) and collaborate with Purchasing/Stores to maintain availability.* Support capital projects and new equipment installations by providing maintainability input (PM plans, spare parts, documentation, commissioning support).* Ensure maintenance documentation is current and controlled (SOPs, PM checklists, equipment manuals, prints, calibration/inspection records where applicable).* Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/TPM/5S) in collaboration with cross-functional teams.* Prepare and communicate reports on maintenance performance (e.g., safety leading indicators, PM compliance, downtime, MTBF/MTTR, backlog, cost) and present action plans to leadership.* Perform other duties as assigned.**What You’ll Need*** 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (24/7 operations preferred).* Demonstrated knowledge of industrial maintenance practices across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.* Experience building and sustaining PM/PdM programs and driving reliability improvements (RCA, FMEA, failure elimination).* Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and safe work practices (including LOTO) with a track record of leading a safe team.* Experience planning/scheduling maintenance work, managing backlog, and using a CMMS to manage work orders and asset history.* Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functionally.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ability to analyze downtime and cost data.* Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Industrial Technology, or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.* Preferred: Technical/trade background with advanced training in industrial electrical or mechanical maintenance.* Preferred: OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or related safety training;
