Job description

The Comet Signs Summer Internship program is designed to give you an opportunity to work in a manufacturing environment. You will spend your summer working in a specific area of the facility on impactful manufacturing projects. You will gain a understanding of the Sign Industry and how to assembly an electrical sign. The Internship program is designed to be a step towards other positions upon graduation.
Interns will learn and perform the following:
  • Assembly all types of interior & exterior signs
  • Safety while working in a manufacturing facility
  • Gain knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly techniques
  • Install lights and wiring
  • Assembly techniques of sign faces to the frame of the sign
  • Read a tape measure
  • Read blue prints
  • Understanding of time keeping and labor hours
