Job description

PrideStaff is currently hiring for a new client in the Port Bienville Industrial Park in Pearlington MS!


MANUFACTURING/GENERAL LABOR, PEARLINGTON, MS

Starting pay is $12.00/hr, with potential for overtime as needed

Hours: 7am - 4pm, Monday - Friday


Job duties are but are not limited to:

  • Start machine by engaging controls.
  • Inspect and sort recycled plastic for foreign objects.
  • Clean area around machine.
  • Build/repair pallets for shipping product.
  • Sort, grade, bag, weigh, and inspect plastic, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet customer order specifications.
  • Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of plastic product to standards.
  • Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, etc.
  • Attach identification labels to finished packaged items for shipping
  • Stencil information on containers, such as lot numbers or shipping destinations.
  • Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation.
  • Replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels.
  • Operate forklift as needed.
  • Remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items.
  • Count and record finished and rejected packaged items.


Job Requirements:

  • MUST be at least 18 years of age & willing to complete a drug screen.
  • MUST be able to work in NON-Climate controlled warehouse (NO AC)
  • MUST be able to stand, stoop, walk, bend, lift up to 75lbs. during an 8-hour shift daily
  • MUST have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required
