Job description

Position Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Department: Engineering

Location: Fenton, MO

Reports To: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Classification: Salary - Exempt

Position Summary:

This Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for assisting and leading in the design/development of our assembly equipment, manufacturing equipment and tools. Responsibilities also include the development of required manufacturing processes. Current production processes include the in-house design/production of machines and test equipment. This will be done by utilizing off-the shelf components and PLC's to interface with sensors to control actuators. The Company fosters an extremely dynamic work environment which requires this candidate to have a high mechanical and electrical aptitude while demonstrating very strong interpersonal skills.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Design, build, and maintain assembly test fixtures and equipment.
  • Identify automation techniques to maximize production efficiency.
  • Provide cost estimates for various manufacturing projects.
  • Helps evaluate processes for quality control improvements.
  • HMI and PLC Programming
  • Promotes a positive, innovative culture, and workplace
  • Works with other functional groups to ensure successful problem solving and project completion.
  • Assists Product Engineering in DFM, DFA, FMEA.

Required Education:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, BS in Industrial Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Experience/Skills:

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
  • Solidworks CAD, CAD/CAM, Microsoft Office.
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Possess a hands-on style with strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes
