About the Role

As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician, you'll provide hands-on technical support to both Manufacturing Engineering and Production. You'll troubleshoot manufacturing issues, assist with tooling and fixtures, update manufacturing documentation, support engineering changes, and help improve manufacturing processes that keep production moving safely and efficiently.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working on the production floor, solving technical challenges, and finding ways to improve manufacturing operations.


What You'll Do

  • Provide day-to-day technical support to production personnel
  • Troubleshoot assembly, wiring, tooling, and manufacturing process issues
  • Assist with setup, maintenance, and verification of production fixtures, tooling, carts, and support equipment
  • Support implementation of engineering changes and updated work instructions
  • Verify assemblies and manufactured parts meet engineering drawings and quality requirements
  • Update manufacturing documentation, visual work instructions, labels, and standard operating procedures
  • Assist in training production employees on revised assembly methods and best practices
  • Perform hands-on assembly and rework when needed to support production schedules
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to improve productivity, quality, and workflow


Requirements:

What You Bring

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related technical field preferred (equivalent experience will also be considered)
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing, production support, engineering technician, or assembly experience
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment is highly desirable..
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical work instructions


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with AutoCAD, 3D CAD, or CNC machine programming
  • Experience in cable harness assemblies, electrical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or electronic test equipment manufacturing


Work Environment

This position is performed in a manufacturing environment and requires:

  • Good or corrected vision, including the ability to distinguish colors
  • Manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and standard office technology
  • Ability to move throughout the production facility and remain in stationary positions as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25-50 pounds
