Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager to lead Teams within Manufacturing Engineering. You will be responsible for leading the teams that will own the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes and tooling design, maintenance, and process application & capabilities.

Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts. Develop or champions new concepts or technologies. Manages the implementation of functional strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact the short- to mid-term function or business area results. Requires broad management and cross-functional leadership knowledge and mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area or broad expertise across multiple related job areas.

Essential Functions:

  • Deep technical understanding and experience with manufacturing engineering.
  • Significant experience leading teams of engineers within these disciplines.
  • Experience in leading people leaders, preferably within subject disciplines.
  • Strong cross-functional and collaborative skills allowing to effectively work in Team dynamic amongst leadership peers.
  • Ability to mentor and groom young career managers.
  • Experience in or high level of understanding in manufacturing process control.
  • Experience in or high level of understanding manufacturing operating systems.
  • Travel: 10% L3Harris Sites, customers, and/or suppliers.
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior manufacturing experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior manufacturing experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior manufacturing experience.
  • 5 years leadership experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in or high level of understanding of
    • Composite manufacturing
    • Aerospace & defense manufacturing
    • New Product Introduction
  • Executive briefing and presentation experience is highly recommended.
  • Lean manufacturing.
  • Broad management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across the function.
  • Experience in MRP or MES systems (preferably Oracle or Delmia).
