Job Description:

We are seeking a Lead, Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing facility located in Camden, AR to develop, implement and analyze manufacturing engineering plans and projects and communicate them to internal and external customers. Defines, develops and transfers manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies and systems. Develops manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes. Actively participates with engineering project teams in order to coordinate the release of new products. Estimates and tracks manufacturing costs, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of job area and in-depth knowledge of project management.
  • Manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance with minimal oversight or direction.
  • Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to processes, practices, and approaches.
  • Makes significant improvements to systems and processes.
  • Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results. Works to achieve operational targets with direct impact on the departmental results.
  • Investigates and determines root causes of problems, develops and implements corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees across the company within area of expertise.
  • Ability to travel, 5-10%, may be required.
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Computer skills sufficient to generate reports and analyze data using MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Minitab, and JMP.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Statistical Analysis experience.
  • Understands rocket propulsion component(s) and theory of operation.
  • Experience working with Energetics and DOD contracts.
  • Capital Project Management
