JOB SUMMARY
Set up and operate mechanical, hydraulic and CNC controlled Press Brake, Punch Press, and/or Laser Punch. Select and load material, tooling, and programs to manufacture parts to a schedule. Operate a lean cell where the operator is expected to simultaneously operate multiple machines at the same time.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Set up Mechanical, Hydraulic and CNC controlled press brakes.
  • Performing operation to process.
  • Determine parts to be run and set up.
  • Retrieve, load, and unload specified materials and parts.
  • Produce parts to drawing tolerances and adjust as needed.
  • Ensure quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Advise supervisor and QC of any quality issues.
  • Able to interpret drawings and measure parts to drawings.
  • Use safety devices as prescribed by the manufacturer or MEP.
  • Perform specified preventive maintenance of equipment and tooling and assist in repairs as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring the safe work habits of any associate that you assign to a job you or another set-up person has set up.
  • Fill out all required paperwork and train others on the same.
  • Responsible for detailing the quality inspection required by any associate you assign to a job that you or another set-up person has set up.
  • Maintain 5S responsibilities of assigned work areas

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Requires ability to use English, grammar.
  • Math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, including decimals and fractions.
  • Simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams together with the use of adjustable measuring instruments.
  • Ability to understand and perform administrative duties of job.
  • Requires the use of judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations and processes within the limitations of recognized standard methods and procedures
  • Moderate physical effort consisting of frequently lifting or moving average weight material not over 50 lbs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One to two years related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Sheet metal fabrication experience preferred.

SHIFT
  • Typical schedule is Monday to Thursday. Friday is for OT (depending on operational need)
  • Monday-Thursday 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Friday 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM
