Job description

Job Title: Automation Engineer
SUMMARY-
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI/Automation Engineer/Systems Integrator to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in integrating advanced AI technologies into manufacturing processes, with a focus on enhancing efficiency, productivity, and quality. This role requires a hands-on professional with a deep understanding of AI, machine learning, automation systems, and systems integration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)-
  • Integration of AI Technologies: Design, develop, and implement AI solutions to automate and optimize manufacturing processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI systems into existing workflows and machinery.
  • System Analysis and Design: Analyze current manufacturing systems to identify opportunities for AI and automation integration. Develop detailed design specifications and functional requirements.
  • Algorithm Development: Create and deploy machine learning algorithms and models to predict, analyze, and enhance manufacturing outcomes.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage AI integration projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
  • Data Management: Collect, preprocess, and analyze large sets of manufacturing data to train AI models. Ensure data integrity and security throughout the process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of AI systems, implementing improvements and updates as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
  • Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support and training to manufacturing teams on the use and maintenance of AI systems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE-
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in AI, machine learning, and automation within a manufacturing environment. Strong background in systems integration and project management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and C++. Experience with AI frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch. Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation protocols.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Industry Certifications: Relevant certifications in AI, machine learning, or automation engineering.
  • Experience with Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with IoT, edge computing, and advanced robotics as they pertain to manufacturing.
  • Innovative Mindset: A proactive approach to exploring and implementing cutting-edge technologies to drive continuous improvement.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS-

TECHNICAL SKILLS-

Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Seeq, and ML/AI software as required to perform the responsibilities of this position
