Press Operator / Machine Operator

Pay: $25-$35/hour

Schedule: 12-Hour Rotating 2-2-3 Schedule

Days: 5:45 AM - 6:00 PM

Nights: 5:45 PM - 6:00 AM

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday

Location: Kansas City, KS

Position Summary

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our manufacturing team as a Press Operator. Candidates with printing press experience are encouraged to apply, but we are also open to machine operators, slitter operators, production associates, and mechanically inclined individuals looking to build a career in manufacturing.

This position offers hands-on training for candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn.

What You'll Do

  • Operate and assist with setup of production equipment and printing presses.
  • Learn machine operation, troubleshooting, and changeover procedures.
  • Inspect equipment and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
  • Monitor product quality and follow quality control procedures.
  • Accurately record production activities and material usage.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and support equipment repairs.
  • Work closely with team members to maximize machine uptime and production efficiency.
  • Follow all safety, GMP, and company procedures.
  • Assist with housekeeping, material handling, and production support tasks.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous manufacturing, machine operation, slitter operation, printing, converting, packaging, or industrial production experience preferred but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions and verbal directions.
