Job description

Axis Recruiting Solutions is hiring Manufacturing Associates for various shifts in Mesa, AZ and the Greater Phoenix Area!

Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour.

SUMMARY

Manufacturing Associates will be trained in all areas of production and perform job requirements according to the specific areas’ Standard Operating Procedures to fabricate and assemble company products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fabricate and assemble company products which may include the operation of automated manufacturing equipment in a team environment.
  • Work requires the ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Process Specifications (PS) to operate and set up machinery and related systems.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement.
  • Keep the work area neat and clean and follow all established safety guidelines.
  • Work within a team structure to achieve Company and department goals.
  • Regularly handles hazardous and non-hazardous wastes generated in the manufacturing process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Possess basic math skills.
  • Ability to work with small parts.
  • May also require forklift experience and basic computer skills.
  • The individual in this position must be able to understand, read, and write English.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to lighting and temperature as required for outdoor and manufacturing areas. Appropriate safety equipment is required by area. There is potential exposure to hazardous chemicals, including radiation. A considerable amount of moving from department to department may occur in unfavorable weather conditions. The employee is exposed to the inherent dangers of the explosive materials used in the manufacturing processes.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move throughout the facility, traverse within production areas, effectively communicate with others, detect, or exchange information or ideas, and perform functions that require the manual operation of both general office productivity and manufacturing equipment as well as the ability to place, reach, detect, push/pull, ascend/descend, and position self to navigate within confined working spaces. The employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position. The employee must occasionally move or transport up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close inspection, identification of objects from a distance, color determination, peripheral detection, depth judgment, and the ability to identify details in varying conditions.
