Job description

Markertek, a div. Tower Products Incorporated, is a highly specialized broadcast and pro-audio supply house serving the technical side of the media industry. We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Assembler to join our growing TEAM! The ideal candidate has passion, the know-how, and the desire to take behind-the-scenes customer service to the next level. It's a responsive and responsible attitude that our customers count on.
Manufacturing Assemblers specialize in high-volume, fast termination processes for Audio and Video cable termination. Assemblers are encouraged to take ownership of their work and manufacture a high-quality product in a timely manner. Effective communication with the department Team Leader will continuously establish and improve the quality of production. On-the-job training will be performed by the department Team Leader to ensure all cables are assembled properly. We provide employees with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, tools, and procedures for the processing of coaxial and other types of cables.
Key Responsibilities
  • Reference job lists and assigned work orders to complete customer orders and stock replenishment requirements.
  • Receive and execute daily work order assignments as directed.
  • Learn and utilize manufacturing systems for inventory picking, packing, kitting, work order processing, and Bill of Materials (BOM) management.
  • Pick, pack, and kit materials according to BOM requirements and established procedures.
  • Assemble products using approved manufacturing processes, including cable processing, tubing, gluing, soldering, and crimping procedures.
  • Conduct visual inspections, mechanical inspections, and basic continuity testing on completed assemblies prior to final testing and approval.
  • Provide critical in-process feedback to support product quality and process improvement.
  • Produce high-quality products while meeting production deadlines and efficiency standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the Team Leader and coworkers to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Read, understand, and follow internal procedures, work instructions, company policies, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
  • Properly use required PPE and tools in accordance with company safety guidelines.
  • Follow all requirements outlined in the Tower Products Incorporated Employee Handbook and Quality Policy Statement.
  • Safely lift and move materials as needed, following established safe lifting practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with cables, connectors, interfaces, and small hand tools.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience performing detail-oriented work with accuracy in numbers and part numbers.
