What are manufactured homes?

Manufactured homes are factory-built residences constructed according to the federal HUD Code, which sets standards for design, construction, strength, and energy efficiency. Unlike traditional site-built homes, manufactured homes are assembled in a controlled factory environment and then transported to their final location. They can be single- or multi-section units and are often more affordable than traditional homes, offering a range of sizes and amenities. Manufactured homes can be placed on private land or in specially designated communities.
