  • Operate machines such as CNC and/or manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, and gear cutting machines depending on expertise on specific equipment.
  • Set up machine as appropriate to machine specifications.
  • Operate machines according to processes provided in the manufacturing of components.
  • Use and interpret precision measuring instruments/gauges such as micrometers and calipers
  • Any other duties assigned by Management

Position Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to read orders and work instructions
  • Must be able to read and understand processes and process drawings
  • Must have mechanical skills
  • Must be able to lift and handle heavy parts using overhead cranes and other material handling equipment and must be able to bend and lift
  • Walking, standing, lifting, stooping, reaching
  • Physical demand to make setup and perform machining operations
  • May work in tight and/or cramped spaces
  • Some lifting of various weights, both assisted and unassisted
  • Use cranes or other device for heavy lifting
  • Must be able to obtain Security Clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • 2+ Years of experience in machining
  • Familiar with face milling, reaming, boring, and line boring (specific to Milling)
  • Familiar with steady rest and tailstock (specific to Turning)
  • Ability to read and edit programs using Fagor or Fanuc controls
  • Familiar with G-Code
