The multi-year cloud strategy will also drive increased reliability, performance, and scalability but at a lower total cost of ownership. The leader in this role will be expected to drive productivity, usher in new infrastructure technologies, and systematically eliminate various legacy infrastructure technologies.## ## PositionDirector Infrastructure & Cloud## ## LocationUSA, Louisville, KY## How You'll Create Possibilities**Key Responsibilities:****Develop/execute infrastructure strategy while maintaining world class Operations for GE Appliances*** Develop multi-year cloud and infrastructure roadmaps, vision and work with individual architects to translate strategies into tactical engineering blueprints.* Drive world class operations using AI tools and ensure we root cause and automate operational tasks. Drive proactive problem solving and streamline ongoing operations.* Create a vision for enabling AI and using advanced tools to revitalize infrastructure and cloud services.* Architect and direct the execution of short- and long-term strategic plans to assure infrastructure capacity meets current and future needs to support GEA’s growth trajectory.* Provide leadership by joining bridges for all critical infrastructure incidents as necessary to assess impact, coordinate response efforts, help with escalations, communicate status, resolution progress to senior leadership and key stakeholders.* Accountable to improve key operational metrics and timely approvals of invoices and validating spend.* Develop an orchestrated strategy for IT and OT networks and to facilitate the various growth projects* Enable a multi-cloud strategy to efficiently leverage the strengths of AWS, GCP and OCI at the best cost* Devise migration plans to effectively use compute, storage and other infrastructure related services across our public, private and DR clouds/datacenters* Leverage and upgrade the existing Active Directory environment to take advantage of the new capabilities* Facilitate the elimination of legacy data centers and migrate to future ready cloud infrastructure* Guide the development and execution of procedures, policies, RACI and related training plans for project management and infrastructure administration.* Manage and establish priorities for maintenance, design, development and analysis of entire infrastructure systems inclusive of LANs, WANs, internet, security and wireless implementations.* Conduct research and recommend changes in services, products, protocols and standards to support development efforts and infrastructure procurement.* Present to C-Suite leaders and technical decision makers while providing appropriate thought leadership and creative insights when needed.* Lead the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in solution implementation and/or operational support across multiple teams. Oversee data center group and lead, direct and utilize knowledge on best practices in area related to infrastructure.* Ensure that the critical infrastructure is following the requirements of the IT Disaster Recovery Plans.* Define software and hardware standards in collaboration with stakeholders and owners. Report and prepare strategies to maintain critical infrastructure.* Ensure appropriate security levels on the network, infrastructure and servers are maintained.* Oversee operational costs, conduct near and long-term financial estimates for expanded functionality and user base.* Negotiate with outsourcers, vendors and contractors for infrastructure-specific products and services to decrease costs.* Perform feasibility studies for upgrade projects, conversions and improvements.* Revitalize and execute a Site independence strategy to build site level redundancies and efficiencies**Provide outstanding team leadership*** Ensure team members are executing GE Appliance’s strategy and developing infrastructure solutions that support the business’ growth goals* Ensure that the organization has the required skills and capabilities within the advanced infrastructure domain.* Provide leadership, coaching, support and development opportunities to develop a strong advanced infrastructure team.* Develop and ensure employee capability through performance management processes, talent reviews, training and development and effective staffing decisions.## What You'll Bring to Our Team**Minimum Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent* Ten (10) years of prior relevant experience in roles of increasing responsibility within infrastructure architecture and design.* 3 years’ experience leading an IT Infrastructure architecture and operations or related team(s) with experience operating at a senior manager-level or above.* Possess advanced technical depth and knowledge of cloud, database, integrations, network, compute and storage.* Understands and operates at an enterprise-wide level; aligns priorities with broader goals, measures outcomes – metrics driven, uses feedback to change as needed, evaluates alternatives, solutions oriented, seeks alternatives and broad input; can see connections within complex issues.* Strong ability to influence and guide executive-level managers and reconcile, integrate competing interests.* Must be able to elevate the way we run the business and demonstrate transformational business change that positively impacts our customers and the business.* Proven ability to drive cross-functional, transformational changes that impact multiple functions while making the right business tradeoffs.
