Job description

Position: Tech Lead Electronics Manufacturing

Location:- Alvarado, TX,

Key Responsibilities

Electronics Troubleshooting & System Expertise

  • Lead advanced troubleshooting of downhole electronic circuits, PCBs, and tool modules.
  • Diagnose, repair, and validate surface acquisition systemswireline control panelsdepth panels, and power distribution units.
  • Resolve complex issues involving telemetry, sensors, communication modules, and surface‑to‑downhole interfaces.
  • Guide junior staff in debug processes, test methodologies, and proper rework practices.

Manufacturing Support & Quality Leadership

  • Provide high‑level technical support to manufacturing teams for both downhole and surface electronics.
  • Drive resolution of production‑line issues to minimize downtime and improve build quality.
  • Review, validate, and approve manufacturing work instructions, test procedures, wiring diagrams, and panel schematics.
  • Ensure compliance with Halliburton quality standards and product release requirements.

Wireline Tool & Surface System Knowledge

  • Apply expert-level understanding of:
  • Wireline downhole tools (telemetry, sensors, power modules, logging tools)
  • Surface systems, including:
  • Surface acquisition units
  • Wireline logging panels
  • Depth and tension systems
  • Surface power and control electronics
  • Winch panel interfaces
  • Interpret system‑level behaviour to identify root causes across both downhole and surface domains.

Failure Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead root‑cause analysis for recurring failures in downhole electronics, surface panels, and telemetry systems.
  • Recommend improvements in component selection, PCB layout, environmental robustness, and assembly processes.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI), pilot builds, and qualification testing.

Cross‑Functional Leadership & Support

  • Collaborate closely with Technology, Quality, Field Operations, and Engineering teams.
  • Provide technical mentorship to Engineers, Technical Professionals, and Manufacturing Technicians.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for wireline electronics—both downhole and surface equipment.
