Summary
The foreman is responsible for assuring all work is performed in the safest, highest quality, and most cost-effective manner. This involves planning, organizing, and participating in the daily activities of a crew to provide masonry, waterproofing, and joint sealants. The foreman manages the crew, conducts scheduling, resolves issues, and trains others, as needed, in all aspects of the work.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • On-site supervision of a crew and working side by side with that crew.
  • Developing crew schedules and ensuring work has been completed according to plans and specifications.
  • Completing daily field reports, delivery tickets, customer service, and internal management.
  • Ensuring crews are operating tools and equipment safely, properly, and productively.

Required Experience, Education, and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in general construction with at least 3 of those years in a restoration lead role or similar position.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and execute construction drawings and contract specifications.
  • Experience running 1-2 projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to supervise various crew sizes with minimal oversight.
  • Established commitment to safety.
  • Proven ability to produce look-ahead schedules and integrate other construction documents as required by the project.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with the customer, crew and project teams.
  • Basic computer skills and construction math skills.
  • Experience within these specialty areas:
    • Masonry
      • Block and brick installation as well as replacement/repair
      • Joint sealants and caulking at masonry and concrete facades
      • Masonry modifications
      • Stone replacement and restoration
      • Tuck pointing
    • Waterproofing
      • Install chemical-resistant liners

Position type, travel, and expected hours of work
This is a full-time field position. Typical hours will range from 45-50 per week (6:00 am-4:00 pm) and are subject to change depending on the project stage. This role requires working non-typical days and irregular hours based on construction schedules. Due to the critical nature of the role, accepting phone calls even during non-typical workdays and hours is also necessary.
