ABOUT THE ROLE

Join us at the intersection of football, finance, and innovation - where every decision helps build a league from kickoff to championship.

The UFL is seeking a highly analytical and strategic finance professional to drive data-backed financial decision-making across the league. Reporting directly to financial leadership, this role sits at the intersection of operational data and financial reporting. Your primary responsibility will be evaluating how performance metrics directly impact the P&L, turning those insights into optimized financial outcomes.

This role requires advanced financial modeling, rigorous cost analysis, and strong executive communication. There will be a combination of traditional variance reports and analysis to provide forward-looking financial narratives, ensuring senior leadership has a clear view of the financial levers driving the business.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Prepare and present clear, concise financial reports and executive-level presentations.

Provide scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling for key business decisions.

Evaluate business cases for new products, programs, or capital investments.

Support pricing analysis, margin improvement initiatives, and ROI modeling.

Partner with business leaders to explain results, variances, and key performance indicators.

Conduct deep-dive analysis into league and team expenses to identify structural inefficiencies, spending anomalies, and cost-saving opportunities well beyond standard variance reporting.

Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes.

Enhance reporting processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and visibility.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in strategic finance function (Corporate Finance or FP&A).

Understanding of accounting principles, including income statement analysis, balance sheet analysis and cash flow statement analysis

Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel, including model building.

Experience using large data sets to create automated reporting dashboards and visualizations that are easy to use and digest.

NetSuite and Looker experience is a plus.

Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

This role will be based in the Tri-State area (NY/NJ/CT).

This position operates in a hybrid work environment, with an expectation of in-office (White Plains, NY) 2-3 days per week.

Limited travel may be required for meetings, league events and business needs.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
