The AI Biology & Translation (AIBT) organization within the Computational Sciences Center of Excellence (CS-CoE) advances the application of AI, machine learning, and computational approaches to enable translational science, biological discovery, and scientific innovation across Research and Early Development. AIBT partners across scientific, computational, and operational teams to accelerate data-driven research and help deliver transformative medicines for patients.

As part of the AIBT Strategy & Operations function, this role supports effective coordination, communication, and execution across cross-functional programs and organizational initiatives.

The Opportunity
  • Support planning, coordination, and execution of cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives across AIBT.

  • Partner with scientific, operational, and functional stakeholders to coordinate activities, timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across multiple workstreams.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, status updates, dashboards, meeting materials, and communication tools that support transparency and aligned execution.

  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings, operational reviews, and working sessions to support collaboration, decision-making, and follow-through.

  • Track milestones, risks, dependencies, and action items while proactively communicating progress, issues, and escalation needs to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Help establish effective project management practices, operational rhythms, and coordination approaches that support successful execution across the organization.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 5+ years of experience managing cross-functional projects, programs, or operational initiatives within biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, life sciences, or related environments.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to coordinate activities across diverse teams and functions.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, adapting to evolving priorities, and driving momentum in fast-paced and collaborative environments.

  • Experience supporting project planning, milestone tracking, operational coordination, and executive communications using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Asana, Airtable, Microsoft Suite, or Google Workspace.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $111,800- $207,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
