The Senior Manager, Business Solutions leads complex, technology-enabled implementation and innovation initiatives that support Ryan's service lines, proprietary platforms, and enterprise strategy. This role manages large-scale client and internal projects from scope definition through delivery, ensuring on-time, on-budget execution and high-quality outcomes. The Senior Manager translates business and technical requirements into scalable solutions that drive operational efficiency, client value, and measurable financial impact. Reporting to a leader within Business Solutions, this role combines program leadership, technical oversight, and client engagement to advance Ryan's digital transformation and innovation objectives.

Client:

  • Manages internal and external enterprise tax technology and software implementation projects to completion.

  • Oversees functional and technical direction of projects, including detailed requirements analysis, process design, configuration, system integration, testing, deployment, and client onboarding.

  • Supports implementation of proprietary data products and enterprise tax automation platforms within the assigned practice or division.

  • Establishes processes to monitor adherence to project timelines and budgets and communicates variances proactively.

  • Prepares and reviews client deliverables, documentation, and engagement materials to ensure quality and accuracy.

  • Maintains master project resource plans and supports billing, forecasting, and financial tracking activities.

  • Maintains strong client relationships, responds to inquiries, and participates in proposals, engagement agreements, and onsite meetings.

  • Experience in consulting, implementation, enterprise systems, data management, process improvement, or tax-related environments preferred.

  • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-workstream engagements in a client-facing environment.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Experience working with enterprise systems, databases, reporting tools, project management platforms, or business applications.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, Agile/Scrum certifications, Lean/Six Sigma, CPA, or other relevant industry credentials are preferred.

  • Valid driver's license may be required, depending on role assignment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position may directly supervise team members and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Firm policies and applicable laws.

Compensation Pay Transparency:

  • For certain California based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $158,000.00 - $211,750.00
  • For other California based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $144,500.00 - $194,150.00
  • For Colorado based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $138,000.00 - $185,350.00
  • For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $144,500.00 - $194,150.00
  • For other Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $138,000.00 - $185,350.00
  • For Maryland based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $138,000.00 - $185,350.00
  • For Massachusetts based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $144,500.00 - $194,150.00
