Job description

A growing consumer products company with national and international distribution is seeking an Accounting Manager to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership while helping drive accounting accuracy, process improvements, and financial controls across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and cash management.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including invoice processing, vendor and customer communications, expense reporting, and payment reconciliations.
  • Reconcile sales, inventory, returns, receivables, and expenses across multiple sales channels and business platforms.
  • Assist with audit preparation, financial analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Coordinate annual 1099 reporting and support inventory count and reconciliation activities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen accounting operations and financial controls.
  • Partner with leadership on special projects and other finance-related initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience within an EDI/ Manufacturing or consumer goods environment.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus.
  • Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, distribution, e-commerce, retail, or omnichannel environments is preferred.
