Charter Manufacturing is hiring an HRIS Analyst to support our Workday technology!
This is an opportunity for a curious, service-minded HRIS professional who enjoys solving problems, understanding how processes work, and helping people use technology more effectively. You will work across Workday HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Learning, Talent, Performance, and Advanced Compensation.
This role also supports reporting, dashboards, data views, and analytics used by HR and business leaders. Success will require curiosity, learning agility, strong process thinking, and an interest in continuing to build hands-on Workday configuration capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a front-line HRIS resource for HR users and business stakeholders.
  • Investigate and resolve Workday break/fix issues by evaluating system behavior, business processes, data, and user needs.
  • Identify root causes, recommend solutions, and communicate progress clearly to end users.
  • Partner with users to understand their questions, processes, and desired outcomes.
  • Escalate complex issues when needed and collaborate with internal team members and external partners to reach resolution.

Enhancements, Testing, and Releases

  • Translate HR business needs into clear functional system requirements and specifications.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, solution evaluation, testing, implementation, and post-launch support.
  • Develop and execute test scenarios for enhancements, break/fix solutions, integrations, and Workday releases.

  • Continue developing hands-on Workday configuration knowledge and capabilities.

Projects and Process Improvement
  • Lead or support HRIS-enabled projects and help manage the prioritization of incoming requests.
  • Provide project management support across the HR technology portfolio.
  • Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, or improve how work is completed.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand both the immediate request and the broader business process behind it.
  • Contribute to a team environment focused on shared learning, continuous improvement, and expanding Workday capabilities.

Reporting and Analytics
  • Convert HR business and reporting needs into functional specifications and reporting solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom reports, dashboards, data views, and analytics aligned with HR strategy and user needs.
  • Support existing HR reports, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Ensure reporting solutions provide accurate, useful information for business decision-making.
  • Promote self-service analytics and help HR partners use reporting tools more effectively.
  • Participate in Business Intelligence Center of Excellence meetings and support established data governance standards.

End-User Support and Documentation
  • Create and maintain clear end-user instructions, process documentation, technical documentation, and training materials.
  • Help users understand Workday functionality, reporting tools, and updated processes.
  • Communicate system changes, issue updates, and new functionality in language appropriate for different audiences.
  • Support user adoption by making HR technology easier to understand and use.
