Position Overview

As a Tax Manager or Senior Manager, you will prepare and file federal and state business, individual, and other related tax forms. You will manage a book of business, provide clients with tax guidance and planning, and assist with various research projects throughout the year.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Oversee staff who help with the preparation of returns

  • Maintain client and staff relationships

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review business and individual tax returns

  • Tax planning and projections requested by clients

  • Research tax issues

  • Provide recommendations for process improvements

  • Maintain an understanding and knowledge of changes in tax law by reading professional literature or attending tax seminars and training courses

  • Consult with clients to develop a basic understanding of their financial affairs and the scope of their tax liabilities

  • Answer calls and emails from clients in a timely manner

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and industry organizations

  • Transfer expertise of industry knowledge, trends, and best practices to others in the firm

  • Perform other related duties as assigned
