Business Intelligence Senior Data Engineer

Employer: International Medical Group, Inc. Title: Business Intelligence Senior Data Engineer Location: 9200 Keystone Crossing, Suite 800, Indianapolis, IN 46240

Duties: Independently integrate complex data from multiple operational systems into an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). Design, build, and support SSIS‑based ETL pipelines, including performance tuning and troubleshooting, Perform detailed data mapping, analysis, and data migrations, Ensure adherence to Bl best practices, DevOps workflows, and IMG development standards. Design and develop robust reporting solutions with SSRS and Power Bl. Build reusable data models for analytics and operational reporting. Provide ad‑hoc data extracts with a focus on transitioning to self‑service. Evaluate, design, and implement Al/ML solutions including LLM‑based agents, OCR, and automation tools. Build production‑grade Al solutions using AWS Bedrock and Claude. Serve as technical owner for multi‑agent LLM implementations supporting key business operations. Partner directly with senior business stakeholders to define requirements and solution approaches. Lead code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and mentor junior developers. Provide ongoing support for production Bl environments. Participate in change control processes, ensuring tested and accurate deployments. Position is based in Indianapolis, IN office; however, telecommuting from a home office is allowed. Hybrid work arrangement required for at least first 2 years of employment.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), Mathematics, Business, or a related field plus ten (10) years of experience as a Data Scientist, Business Intelligence Engineer, or related occupation. Experience may be gained concurrently and must include:

  • Hands‑on experience integrating multiple operational system data into an EDW.

Four (4) years in each of the following:

  • Working with star schema or dimensional data modeling
  • Developing reporting solutions for production environments using SSRS and Power Bl.

Three (3) years in each of the following:

  • End‑to‑end ETL development with SSIS, including experience optimizing and troubleshooting performance issues
  • Implementing production Al solutions including ML (Python), LLMs, and OCR
  • Working with travel medical claims systems such as LCS or Actisure
  • Working with Travel Medical, Trip Cancellation, and Assistance Insurance data.

Two (2) years in each of the following:

  • Experience with the full software development life cycle with separate Development, QA, and Production environments using Visual Studio
  • Working with policy/certificate data as AdminSys
  • Hands‑on experience deploying solutions using AWS Bedrock and Claude
  • Ownership of a large‑scale LLM multi‑agent implementation supporting real business processes (excluding POCs or prototypes)
  • Experience with trip coverage claims (Actisure, Trident Travel, NIS or similar)
  • Experience with assistance platforms Dynamo or NIS
  • Working with document management systems such as OnBase or similar.

Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree and eight (8) years of experience.
