Position Overview

We are seeking a Renewable Energy Procurement Specialist to support the procurement of equipment, construction materials, and services for utility-scale solar and renewable energy projects. This role is ideal for someone with experience purchasing materials for solar, renewable energy, EPC, or large-scale construction projects.


The successful candidate will manage supplier relationships, evaluate quotations, issue purchase orders, and coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Project Management, and Finance to ensure critical materials are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with project requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Procure solar equipment, electrical components, balance-of-system (BOS) materials, construction materials, and project-related services.
  • Source suppliers, request quotations, and evaluate proposals based on pricing, lead times, technical specifications, and commercial terms.
  • Create purchase requisitions and purchase orders using Oracle ERP or a similar procurement system.
  • Partner with Engineering, Construction, and Project Management teams to ensure materials meet project specifications and delivery schedules.
  • Manage supplier performance and resolve issues related to pricing, quality, delivery, and invoicing.
  • Track purchase orders from issuance through delivery and support invoice reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier documentation, and ERP data.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and availability of solar equipment and construction materials.
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, reduce costs, and strengthen supplier relationships.


Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience supporting solar, renewable energy, EPC, construction, or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience sourcing solar equipment, electrical components, construction materials, or industrial equipment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle Procurement, Oracle ERP, SAP, or a similar ERP platform.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and purchase order administration.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
