Job description

Lead Solar Electrician

Are you an electrician looking for consistent, high-paying work in the fast-growing clean energy sector? We are hiring a Lead Solar Electrician to head electrical operations for residential and solar installations, battery storage setups, and main service panel upgrades.

What You’ll Do

  • Electrical Execution: Wire AC/DC solar systems, set up string and microinverters, integrate battery storage (Tesla Powerwall, Enphase, etc.), and perform main panel upgrades (MPUs).
  • System Commissioning: Inspect, test, voltage-check, and commission PV systems to ensure code-compliant grid interconnection.
  • Code & Safety: Ensure all installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local AHJ regulations, and company safety standards.
  • Inspection Management: Lead on-site city, county, and utility electrical inspections to secure immediate sign-offs.
  • Crew Leadership: Supervise electrical apprentices, review blueprints, and troubleshoot complex field issues.


What You Need

  • Experience: 2+ years of electrical experience (solar-specific or residential service work preferred).
  • Technical Mastery: Expertise in conduit bending, service panel tie-ins, and NEC Article 690/705 knowledge.
  • Requirements: Valid driver’s license and the physical ability to work outdoors, climb ladders, and carry equipment up to 50 lbs
