About Standard Energy Solutions
Since 2004, SES has been on the leading edge of renewable innovation allowing us to
design and install the highest quality renewable energy solutions for our customers. Based
in Maryland and serving the Mid-Atlantic region, SES delivers professional renewable
energy solutions to residential customers. SES offers comprehensive design, engineering,
installation, and O amp;M service solutions for distributed solar, electrical load management,
and energy storage systems.

The Role
Our Solar Site Technician serves as the representative for the engineering department in
the field. The technician is responsible for performing site surveys on upcoming projects,
completing electronic forms and interfacing with solar design engineer. Additionally, the
Site Survey Technician will assist with permitting and inspection processes.
Job Responsibilities
 This position requires use of your own vehicle. Compensation for mileage is
provided in addition to the hourly rate.
 Perform site audits on sold systems utilizing software and drones to take
measurements, photographs, notes, and shading measurements of project sites.
 Complete amp; submit electronic Site Survey form in support of Solar Design team.
 Utilize software systems to record progress of various tasks.
 Submit and pick up permit packages at various building departments as needed.
 Coordinate, organize and be present at jobsite for inspection process.
 Support branch staff with administrative support, including organization and
maintenance of project folders, uploads of pictures, completion of finished folders
and some light administrative work.

Requirements
 1+ years of previous field construction experience
 PV design or PV Electrical experience is preferred
 Experience with PV plan sets is preferred
 Must be a motivated team player, looking to succeed
 Experience with construction design is preferred
 High School diploma is required, college degree is preferred
 Excellent customer service skills
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 Excellent organizational and time management skills
 Professional appearance and interaction
 Strong computer skills
 Maintain valid Driver’s License and must be able to travel to multiple sites
throughout the day

Physical Demands
 Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to
50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)
 Ability to work safely in a branch/warehouse/rooftop environment
 Ability to operate oƯice equipment including computers and determine accuracy of
work
 Ability to interact with co-workers and participate in meetings
 Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces
 Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
