Job description

Job Description:

The Manager, Social Impact is part of a new social impact team who bring our purpose and values to life in Mars Snacking communities around the world. The Manager will develop and lead strategic community engagement programs and initiatives, supporting regional and market implementation around the world where Mars Snacking operates while owning the tactical activation in Mars Snacking global headquarters in Chicago. Global programs include but are not limited to, Associate volunteer service and in-kind donation strategy and implementation. In addition, the Manager will own comprehensive reporting and data management across corporate giving platforms including the Mars Snacking Foundation, translating data and impact into engaging storytelling. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a global role within a multi-national organization and understand the complexities of global corporate philanthropy.


What are we looking for?

  • At least 5 years of direct experience managing global volunteer programs and corporate giving initiatives across multiple sites/regions including partnership and program managementas well as operationalizing in-kind donations
  • Ability to cultivate collaborative working relationships with people at all organizational levels internally and externally
  • Highly organized project manager with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple initiatives
  • Solid experience with measurement, reporting and communication for organizational and program impact

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Design and lead a global volunteerism and in-kind donation strategy that is locally relevant, scalable, and aligned with Mars Snacking's strategic priorities.
  • Establish clear globally aligned goals, targets, and success metrics for respective programs aligned with enterprise goals and Mars Snacking's priorities.
  • Track program outcomes and translate impact into clear, compelling internal and external social impact communications
  • Partner internally across the global Corporate Affairs function and broader Mars Incorporated enterprise to align and deliver strategic programs and goals.
  • Partner closely across business functions to activate volunteer and social impact initiatives as a key driver of Purpose.
  • Create clear toolkits, frameworks and guidance for teams to confidently lead volunteer initiatives and in-kind giving in their regions and markets.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
