Job description

Cath Lab Tech

Job Title: Cath Lab Tech

Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:30 - 15:30)

Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred

License: ARRT with state license or RCIS Certifications: ACLS, ARRT, BLS, CCI RCIS

Must-Have: Previous charge experience, IR and EP experience preferred, willing to train

Description: Mon-Friday with call required. One weekend per month (Friday to Sunday) and a minimum of 5 weekdays for a total minimum of 8 days per month on call. Cath lab scrub, pan, and closures for all heart and leg procedures, and device insertions (pacemakers/ICDS) are firm requirements. Daily census of 15 cases. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Patient diagnoses include cardiac, peripheral intervention, and electrophysiology. Special equipment utilized includes Impella, Claris/ensite, XIABP, Penumbra, Shockwave, IVUS, and OCT. Skills required include accessing/managing ports, accurate monitoring, cardiac ablation, cardiac implant closure device, cardiac mapping, cardiac stent placement, cardio version, central venous access, circulation of procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, insertion/programming of AICDs, interpretation of dysrhythmias, interventional cardiac cath lab, and vascular closure systems. Travel experience is preferred. Weekly patient ratios are provided per contract. Clinicians must complete required lab items in a timely manner. Candidates should be aware of local radius restrictions. Compliance with all job-related documents and requirements is necessary.
