How does a Manager of Robo Advisor typically collaborate with technology and investment teams to ensure the platform's effectiveness?

A Manager of Robo Advisor works closely with both technology and investment teams to deliver a seamless and effective digital investing experience. They often translate investment strategies into platform features by coordinating with software developers, ensuring that algorithms reflect sound financial principles. Regular meetings and agile project management are common, facilitating communication between product, engineering, and compliance teams. This collaborative structure helps maintain the platform's reliability, improve user experience, and keep offerings aligned with regulatory standards and market trends.

What are Manager Robo Advisors?

Manager Robo Advisors are professionals who oversee automated investment platforms that use algorithms to manage client portfolios. They are responsible for ensuring the robo advisor's strategies align with clients' financial goals and regulatory requirements. These managers may also monitor system performance, analyze investment trends, and make adjustments to the platform's algorithms. Their role bridges financial expertise, technology, and customer service to deliver efficient and tailored investment solutions.

Which 5 jobs will survive AI?

For a Manager Robo Advisor, jobs that require complex human judgment, emotional intelligence, strategic decision-making, and creativity are more likely to survive AI automation. These include roles such as healthcare professionals, mental health counselors, creative designers, senior management, and specialized technical experts. Skills in leadership, interpersonal communication, and adapting to new technologies will remain valuable in the evolving job market.

Is $200,000 enough to work with a financial advisor?

For a Manager Robo Advisor, a $200,000 investment is generally sufficient to access professional financial advice and automated investment services. Many robo-advisors have minimum investment requirements ranging from a few hundred to several thousand dollars, making this amount suitable for starting or managing a portfolio. However, the specific services and fees depend on the platform and the complexity of your financial goals.

Is $100,000 enough to work with a financial advisor?

For a Manager Robo Advisor role, a $100,000 salary is generally sufficient to work with a financial advisor, as it covers typical investment management fees and personal financial planning costs. However, the adequacy depends on individual financial goals, investment size, and the complexity of services needed, which may influence the level of advisor support required.

How many financial advisors make $500,000 a year?

Manager Robo Advisors typically do not earn $500,000 annually, as their compensation usually depends on assets under management, performance fees, and firm size. High-earning financial advisors or those in senior roles with extensive client portfolios may reach or exceed this level, but it is uncommon for most roles in robo-advisory management to achieve such income solely from salary. Compensation varies widely based on experience, location, and firm structure.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Manager Robo Advisor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Manager Robo Advisor, you need expertise in investment management, financial analysis, and a strong background in finance or related fields, often supported by certifications such as CFA or CFP. Familiarity with robo-advisory platforms, portfolio management software, and data analytics tools is typically required. Leadership, strategic thinking, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for guiding teams and building client relationships. These skills ensure the successful management and growth of digital investment solutions while delivering value and trust to clients.

Job description

ROBO Culture:

ROBO is founded on its 6 core values: Endless Learning, Caring is Our Superpower, Own the Problem, Follow Up & Follow Through, Adapt and Overcome, and A positive energetic environment brings life to work! ROBOs live out the core values every day and are enthusiastic about providing the best customer service. At ROBO we are passionate about our employees, helping them develop their skill and knowledge to reach beyond their potential.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Marketing Manager to become ROBO’s first dedicated marketing hire and build our marketing function from the ground up. This is a builder’s role, not a manager’s — you’ll personally plan and execute the campaigns, content, and programs that drive qualified pipeline for our sales team across our respective markets. Reporting to leadership, you’ll own demand generation, brand, and sales enablement end to end: writing the email, launching the campaign, updating the website, and sharpening the sales deck, often all in the same week.

To succeed, you’ll be a resourceful, metrics-driven generalist who thrives as a team of one, is comfortable owning results, and can turn a modest budget into measurable growth.

This is a hybrid role, with some time expected on-site at one of ROBO’s offices (Austin, Dallas, Portland, or Tampa).

Responsibilities:

  • Demand Generation & Pipeline: Own the strategy and hands-on execution of multi-channel campaigns — email, paid search and social, SEO, and landing pages — to generate qualified leads for sales across our respective markets.
  • Marketing & Sales Alignment: Partner closely with sales to define lead quality, manage handoffs, and report on marketing’s contribution to pipeline and closed revenue.
  • Brand & Content: Develop and maintain ROBO’s brand voice and produce the content that carries it — blog posts, case studies, social media, and email.
  • Website & Digital Presence: Manage and continuously improve the ROBO website, SEO, and analytics as the hub of the marketing engine.
  • Sales Enablement: Own and evolve ROBO’s sales collateral — tier battlecards, one-pagers, the feature comparison matrix, pitch decks, and proposal templates — keeping them current and effective.
  • Agency & Vendor Management: Manage the third-party lead-generation agency relationship, hold it accountable to clear KPIs, and advise leadership on whether and when to bring capabilities in-house.
  • Marketing Operations: Stand up and maintain the foundational marketing tech stack (CRM/marketing automation, analytics, email) and the reporting behind it.
  • Measurement & Reporting: Define marketing KPIs, build a simple dashboard, and report performance and ROI to leadership on a regular cadence.
  • Local Market & Events: Grow ROBO’s local presence and drive events and community engagement across our markets.
  • Employer Brand: Support recruiting with careers-page content and employer-brand storytelling that reflects ROBO’s culture of developing elite talent.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on B2B marketing experience, ideally in an MSP, IT services, or professional/technical services environment
  • Demonstrated demand-generation experience with measurable pipeline and revenue results
  • A “full-stack” generalist comfortable building from scratch and operating as a team of one
  • Proficiency with core marketing tools: CRM/marketing automation (e.g., HubSpot), Google Analytics and Ads, SEO tools, email platforms, a CMS/website (e.g., WordPress), and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe)
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and content-creation skills
  • Experience managing external agencies or vendors to measurable outcomes
  • Familiarity with the MSP/IT buyer and sales cycle is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a bias toward action and ownership

Benefits

  • Performance Bonus
  • Continuing Education Bonus
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid Time Off and Holidays
  • Parental Leave, Jury Duty Leave, Bereavement Leave
  • Career Development Program
  • HeyTaco Recognition Program
