Job Summary

Success in this position will be driven by a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset, a commitment to legal excellence, and the ability to build constructive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

The legal counsel will play a critical role in enabling Arch’s investments to optimize deal execution, manage legal risks, and maintain best-in-class operational and legal standards across its growing portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Review and negotiate private‑markets transaction documents, including limited partnership agreements, side letters, and investment management agreements.
  • Collaborate with investment professionals, business‑segment legal teams and other stakeholders to support portfolio construction and ongoing monitoring of investments.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal partners (legal, risk, compliance, investments, senior management) and external constituencies (outside counsel, managers).
  • Assist with general corporate matters such as fund operations, entity management, governance, contract review, and regulatory analysis.
  • Provide guidance to investment teams on compliance policies, regulatory requirements, and risk considerations.
  • Perform corporate housekeeping duties: take minutes, serve as secretary, and maintain corporate documents.
  • Maintain and enhance the compliance program to align with Group‑level policies.
Qualifications
  • 8–10 years of relevant experience, preferably within an asset‑management or investment‑banking legal department.
  • JD and admission in good standing to a U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complexity, build consensus, and nurture relationships with regulators and business partners.
  • Self‑starter with strong attention to detail and an action orientation.
  • Collaborative lawyer and business partner who balances risk with organizational growth and commercial objectives.
  • Excellent judgment, communication skills, and executive presence.
Compensation and Benefits

Base salary (NYC & DC): $200,634 – $271,446 per year. Total compensation may also include short‑ and long‑term incentives.
