Position Overview

As a Manager Risk Management & Patient Safety your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • As the leader of the Risk Management program, the Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies for loss prevention; risk identification, analysis and follow up; and management of general and health care professional liability claims.
  • As the leader of the Patient Safety program, the Manager promotes a culture of safety and high reliability by leading patient safety improvement initiatives.
  • In this role, the Manager oversees all safety event reports and associated investigations, analyses, action plans, and follow-up in accordance with regulatory requirements and patient safety principles.
  • The Manager works collaboratively with the Director of Quality and Safety, administrators, directors, managers, providers, and staff members to develop effective strategies that improve patient safety and mitigate risk.

Qualifications

Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Manager Risk Management & Patient Safety who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Manager Risk Management & Patient Safety would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:

  • 4 year/Bachelor's Degree
  • Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
  • Accountable for maintaining workplace safety
  • Active Registered Nurse License
