Centuria Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) to join our dynamic team. This full-time, remote position allows you to impact the lives of our clients positively while working from the comfort of your own home. As a vital part of our organization, you will provide professional mental health care through the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various mental, emotional, and behavioral issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and maintain detailed documentation from initial consultations through discharge, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Design individualized treatment and intervention plans grounded in the latest therapeutic methodologies tailored to the unique circumstances of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, incorporating evidence-based practices that motivate clients towards recovery and self-improvement.
  • Continuously measure and monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to address emerging needs and promoting optimal recovery outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, doctors, and social workers, to develop holistic intervention strategies.
  • Manage referrals and follow up with clients admitted to hospitals or other treatment centers, ensuring seamless transitions and ongoing support.
  • Guide family members of clients in understanding and managing mental health challenges, thereby fostering a supportive environment for recovery and growth.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be working with a diverse population, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions, and other mental health disorders. Your expertise will empower clients to overcome barriers to their well-being and develop effective coping strategies. You will also address various demographics, focusing on cultural sensitivity and inclusivity to enhance the therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
  • Successfully passed the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Proficient in the use of electronic health record systems and other relevant technology to support patient management.
  • Exceptional understanding of the various physical and emotional health conditions prevalent in patients and how these can impact therapeutic outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, necessary for effective collaboration and documentation.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and display empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a mental health counselor, preferably in an outpatient or similar environment.
  • Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Experience in treating clients with co-occurring disorders or complex mental health issues.
  • Knowledge of pharmacological treatments and their potential effects on mental health conditions.
